Hope recovery center is a brand new 'state of the art' outpatient addiction center using modern medication and techniques designed to work in addiction recovery by evidence based research. Each patient will be treated with respect, while providing a safe place to heal.
Our treatment philosophy is simple. We recognize that drug addiction is a disease and that abstinence of the offending agent is the best way to manage the condition. We use advances in pharmaceutical science while using behavior modification as a technique to combat this disease. Treatment is tailored to the individual to ensure the most effective approaches are being used and the best opportunity for recovery is achieved.
The death toll from prescription pain medication overdose across the U.S. has increased by more than five times in the past decade (from 3000 deaths in 1999 to 15,500 in 2009), prompting the Center for Disease Control to define the problem as an epidemic.
According to governmental reports, Ohio's death rate from unintentional drug poisoning has increased to more than 350 percent from 1999 to 2008. In 2007, unintentional drug poisoning became the leading cause of accidental death in Ohio, surpassing Motor vehicle accidents and suicide for the first time on record. Prescription pain medications, such as Oxycodone, morphine, and methadone, are largely responsible for the increasing numbers of overdoses and deaths in Ohio according to data presented by Senator Sherrod Brown.
In the state of Ohio, the Governor wanted to put an end to "pill mills"... so he came up with House 93 Bill. This would literally close down majority, if not all pain management centers leaving patients on excessive amount of narcotics and benzodiazepines with nowhere to go. Not knowing the devastating effects that this would have on the health care system, Hope Recovery Center responded to this crisis by offering extended, adjunctive medication assisted treatment for opioid dependence as a means to assist people to a stable recovered lifestyle and ultimate abstinence from opioids.
